University of Miami Shark Research and Conservation Program

In October 2025, I became lucky enough to be selected as a creative intern for the Shark Conservation and Research Program at the University of Miami. Since I was just 15 years old, I have followed SRC’s research, photography, and mission. Being a part of this program is a dream come true and a very emotional full circle moment for me. Through this program and my work, I aim to promote shark conservation through photographing field research, education and outreach, and the SRC community. I am lucky enough to get to observe and occasionally assist with field work as well, inspiring me as a photographer and helping me better understand the process of shark research. The beauty of these animals and their vulnerability is at the front of my mind as I photograph for SRC and I aim to portray their amazing essence with every photograph
