Guadalupe Island

In 2021, I had the opportunity to travel to Guadalupe Island, Mexico to assist with photo identification and observational research of the local Great White Sharks (Carcharadon carcharias). These sharks were incredibly distinct, with each individual displaying unique markings, mating scars, wounds, and pigmentation patterns. By documenting and photographing these features, researchers were able to identify individuals that were not previously observed in the area. This experience widened my experience with photo identification and research, giving me a start to my marine biology and photography career.
